Active Catholics
I am Catholic and want to know more.
You are the salt of the earth... You are the light of the world. In the same way, your light must shine before men so that they may see goodness in your acts and give praise to your heavenly father
Matthew 5: 13-16
As Catholics we are all called to become a beacon of God’s light shining forth to others in an often dark and confused world. What does that mean to in your home, in your community right now? Many parishes offer adult formation events that include prayer, catechesis and service opportunities so that you can both learn about and live out your faith. Begin your journey back to the Catholic Church by checking out what is available in your local parish.
If you want to begin your exploration with a good book, look for the Catholic Catechism for Adults published in 2006 by the United States conference for Catholic Bishops in Washington, D.C. (ISBN 978-1-57455-450-2)
Take the first step and ask yourself a few questions that will help you examine the way you live out your faith in everyday life.
Are my beliefs grounded in the teachings of Jesus?
Is prayer part of my daily life?
How well do I live out the teaching and traditions of the Catholic Church?
